Another year over, A new year has come with a new resolution, new goals and a new beginning.

In all my life, I guess I had pretty much enjoyed staying in Kuching, my hometown. It may be small or not as hot or as hyped up as those big cities, like KL or Singapore. But it is a city that has its own charm to it. Life down in Kuching is pretty much relaxed. But this is, of course slowly changing. I start to realise that life in Kuching is not as relaxed as before. As the population increases, lifestyle starts to change. As compared to before, Kuching’s lifestyle is a bit more hectic and vehicles on the road have increased dramatically, which caused frequent traffic congestion on the road during peak hours. Even though, some might argue that the traffic congestion down here in Kuching is peanuts as compared to traffic congestion in cities like KL and Bangkok, I would say that the congestion down here is no better. Sometimes, I get stuck in congestion for say 30 minutes to 45 minutes. If that us not bad enough, I don’t know what is.

I love to update myself on the on-going developments which are happening in Kuching and discussed it with people. This when I stumbled upon this gay little forum and website which was specially designed for Kuching by a local resident here, catscity.com.my.

The website is easy to navigate and the forum is user friendly. I find myself very comfortable in this forum. One of the main reasons is that, everyone in this forum is friendly. Comments are feedbacks are helpful and courteous. Although, there are times when you do see, a really rude and annoying person in the forum, but this is a common thing in the world of internet. So overall, the website and forum is a great place to chat with people.

I thought, the webmaster is a genius to create this website and not to mention that he had maintained the site real well. I have joined this forum for… well over a year now. This year the webmaster decided to organise another gathering for the “forumers” to meet up in person and get to know each other better… well maybe to see how we look like in person, LOL

Actually, last year a gathering was organised but I did not make in the end. For this year, I made it a point that I must go.

So on December 28^th, I went for the gathering, and met up with them at Patio. I must admit that I enjoyed myself tremendously that night. The people were great, fun and easy going and made me feel very comfortable with chatting with them. We chatted and laughed a lot that night. Not forgetting a lot of camera flashing too… oh I tell you, my eyes were seeing stars that night… I think if I were drunk (Which I was not for no alcohol was served while we were at Patio) I would have sung “starry…starry night,” or worse yet… “Twinkle…twinkle… little star, How I wonder what you are… up above the sky so high….” Ok… I can’t imagine that anymore…. LOL

Yes, that night there were a lot of cameras flashing... as you can see maozi couldn't take the flashin any further.

It was around 10 plus when we had to disperse. But a few of use decided that the night is still young, so decided to continue at Senso Hilton. To all pf you out there be it people outside Kuching or who lives in Kuching and never been to Senso. I do recommend you all to visit there. I think Senso is just a great…great place to chill out. The ambience there is relaxed and calm.

It was 12.30am in the morning when we finally decided to disperse. Once again, we bid each other farewell and good night and left feeling great and happy.

As for me, I felt elated, for I had made some more friends and great people and had learnt a great deal about many things. I would conclude that the gathering was a big success and I look forward to another gathering for the up coming year.
